Kodak has had a three-color color film since 1936: Kodachrome. It was disproportionately expensive at the time and always sold out. Color films from this period are therefore rare and today they are showpieces for every documentary film production. In 1938 the German AgfaColor Film was added. With a few exceptions, cinema remained black and white until the 1950s.
